Cath Lab Tech

Location: Cooperstown, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts, 4 days per week)
On-Call:

• One weekday per week
• Every 5th to 6th weekend (Friday 5:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM)

Job Overview

• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures in a high-acuity Cath Lab setting.
• Utilize advanced imaging technology including Philips x-ray equipment and Xper monitoring system.
• Use Epic software for documentation and care coordination.
• Responsible for IR, Vascular, and Electrophysiology (EP) cases; experience in these areas is highly preferred.
• Work collaboratively within a dedicated team focused on precise and timely cardiac care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York.
• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification.
• Experience with Epic software.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings required at onboarding:

  • MMR
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza vaccine
  • Varicella
  • Tdap (optional)
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit test for respiratory protection
• Physical/health statement required.
• Drug screening required.

Professional and Background Requirements

• Driver’s license or state ID required.
• Submission of professional references (2 required).
• Criminal background check and sex offender registry checks (national and state).
• Education and employment verification.
• Completion of core competencies, unit exam, and skills checklist specific to the facility.
• Signed confidentiality and security credentials acknowledgment forms.
