Job Description

• Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing services.
• Manage all operational services within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regional regulations.
• Prior Nursing Management experience required.
• Flexible scheduling as needed.

Required Credentials & Compliance

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for onboarding. Acceptable certifications include AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military.

Professional Requirements

• Nurse Aide Registry Check: Required within 30 days of start (MA Department of Public Health requirement for all employees).
• Spaulding Orientation Summary: Required for onboarding.
• Criminal Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days prior to start and updated if there is a break longer than 6 months. Includes county and international searches if applicable.
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break.
• Resume: Required for submission, including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in the relevant skillset.
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions.
• Education Verification: Verified through background check company; must verify highest level of education achieved.
• SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, listing addresses/aliases for past 7 years.
• National Sex Offender Check: Run within 30 days of start and updated annually.
• Exclusion Checks: Run within 30 days of start and annually; includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid exclusion lists.
• CNA Registry Checks: Required for all states where candidate has lived or worked (MA DPH requirement for all employees).

Personal Health History Requirements

• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of vaccines or proof of immunity required.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30). No exemptions allowed.
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start; must be updated if break >6 months.
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start; updated if >6 month break.
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is needed for the role.
• Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred but optional.
• Tdap Vaccine: Preferred, within last 10 years.
• Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if TB test is positive.
• TB Symptom Survey: Optional if positive PPD; must confirm no symptoms of TB infection.
