Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Pontiac, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Perform duties according to medical center policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Work primarily in the Operating Room (OR) setting.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room (OR) experience (required).
• Must be able to circulate during surgical procedures (required).
• Experience with the following surgical specialties is required:

  • Orthopedics (Ortho)
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Urology
  • Neurosurgery (Neuro)
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application (required).
• Trauma Level II experience is preferred but not required.
• Michigan RN license verification is required and must be active at time of submission.
• Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed.
• References are not required.
• Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Facility & Work Environment

• Surgical services cover a full spectrum of procedures except open-heart surgery.
• 7 operating room suites available.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Paragon.
• Hospital-provided scrubs dress code.
• The surgical department uses state-of-the-art technology and focuses on superior patient care.

• A skills checklist must be submitted and completed within one year of application.
• License verification through Michigan regulatory bodies is mandatory; any license issues should be documented for review.
• No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position.
