Job Opportunity: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

• Provide individualized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical center setting.
• Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Use the nursing process as a framework for general and home health nursing competencies.
• Observe and report subjective and objective patient information.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and report promptly to MD or RN.
• Assist with treatments and patient/family education as directed.
• Maintain a safe physical environment.
• Accurately complete progress notes and daily logs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain and demonstrate proficiency in required nursing skills, including ongoing skill improvement.

Requirements

• Specialty: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years oncology experience (highest required specialty experience)
• Competent in port access and blood draws
• Experience with adult and geriatric populations
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Work history documentation and skills checklist current to within 1 year required
• Two supervisory reference forms from the last two years required
• MN DHS Net Study & Fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
• Must comply with strict credentialing deadlines prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Dress code: Scrubs (any color)
• Nonbillable hours: 4 hours
• Local traveler policy applies (travel rate reduction if within 35 miles of facility)
