Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Length: 12 hours per day

Job Overview

Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Emergency Room.
May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
Orientation scheduled for May 26–27 and June 8–9.
Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
Current ACLS certification.
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current TNCC certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

First-time travelers are eligible to apply.
Pay multipliers:
- Overtime/Holiday: 1.15x
- Call Back: 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum
- On Call: hourly rate provided
- Charge/Precept: hourly rate provided
Call back minimum of 2 hours applies.

Notes

The position is based at a Level 3 trauma center.
Prior travel experience is not required.
