Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 10
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Assess and address the needs of each patient before and during cardiovascular surgical procedures, maintaining patient safety.
Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care plans throughout the procedure.
Provide leadership and supervision to the OR team, including coordinating schedule changes and assembling necessary equipment and supplies.
Assist anesthesia as needed and monitor the sterile field.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, supervisors, and ancillary departments.
Participate in staff development through preceptorship, continuing education, and attendance at educational meetings.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
Minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, with CVOR experience within the last year.
Completion of at least one travel assignment.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
