Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Role: Traveler will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.
• Patient Diagnoses:

  • Nephrology
  • Urology (surgical and non-surgical)
  • Benign hematology
  • Medical/Surgical (M/S)

Unit Details

• Unit: East Tower 8 (27 beds) - Urology/Sickle Cell
• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours (7 AM - 7:30 PM) for a total of 36 hours per week
• Call: No call required
• Patient Ratios: Estimated 1:4-5

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Certifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP)
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (for Critical Care RNs)
• Skills:

  • IV Start
  • Telemetry
  • Intermediate care
• Experience with Epic: Required
• Previous Travel Experience: Preferred

Additional Information

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Background Check: 7-Year Criminal Background Check required
• Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 3 months of start
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • MMR Vaccines or Positive Titer
  • Hepatitis B Titer or 3-Vaccine Series
  • Varicella Vaccines or Positive Titer
  • Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season
