Overview

Travel/Contract role in Winston Salem, North Carolina
12-hour nights, 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Patient population includes Orthopedic, Neuro spine, Med-surg, and Post-surgical patients
Unit has 39 rooms and 39 beds
Expected ratio is 5-6:1, with flexibility up to 7:1 in extreme cases
Float requirement: required to float to any other med surg unit within the facility as needed
Call requirement: none
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
First-time travelers accepted with EPIC experience
Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
IV insertion skills
Orthopedics experience
Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS
Charge Nurse Experience
Level I Trauma Experience

Additional Notes

RTO after booking is not allowed
Up to 7 days max RTO for auto offer
Holiday RTO cannot be approved
The unit is fast paced and focuses on ortho and spine patients with pain management needs
