Dialysis Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care during dialysis apheresis procedures including Hemodialysis, CRRT, and Peritoneal Dialysis.
- Responsible for assigned patient group during dialysis procedures, coordinating and delegating care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
- Unit size: 6 beds
- EPIC experience required.
- Floating to multiple hospital locations within the system may be required.
- Schedule rotates every two weeks:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 6:45 AM – 7:15 AM
- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 6:45 AM – 7:15 AM
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
- Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
Additional Information
- Scrub color: Navy blue.
- Physical exam not required by employer but may be required by placement agency.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

- Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (total 36 hours/week).
- Shift times: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (with rotating schedule as noted).
