Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Outpatient Clinic)

Schedule
- Day shift, 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday)
- 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
- No weekends or on-call required
Job Overview
- Position in an outpatient Birth and Family Clinic
- Must have a background in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Floating between like units may be required as needed within skillset
- Open to local, non-local, and true travel candidates
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery
- Outpatient clinic experience is required
- Ambulatory triage experience preferred
- Experience working with higher patient ratios is ideal
Required Skills
- Triage
- Interpretation of lab results
- Vital signs monitoring
- Pain assessment
- Pulse oximetry
- Use of Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong patient education skills, especially regarding lifestyle and medication adherence
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and team collaboration

Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification (AWHONN or NCC-EFM accepted)
- Other certifications as applicable per clinical track
Required Licenses
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Washington State
- NURSYS verification required
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and/or titers for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination documentation preferred (declinations not required)
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification required (nursing degree verification)
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
- WA State Patrol Search within 90 days of start (required by state law)
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- Float policy acknowledgment (may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance)
