Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (GI Lab / Endoscopy)
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30)
• Hours per week: 40
• Unit Procedures: EGD, EUS, Colonoscopy, ERCP
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Provided
• Float: May be required to float within scope to similar units as needed
• On-call requirement: Yes, 1-2 weekdays with 30-minute response time
• Weekend requirement: At least 2 weekend calls

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS
  • Harassment Prevention Training Certificate

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Current and valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • 7-year National Criminal History Search (County searches)
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • FACIS level 3 search (includes OFAC)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM search (annual)
  • HHS/OIG search (annual)
• Education verification: Diploma or official transcripts confirming BSN or MSN
• NURSYS license verification within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (TSPOTs and PPDs not accepted)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination accepted if signed within past year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines (boosters required for low titers)
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, declination, or proof of completed vaccine series
  • Varicella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines (boosters required for low titers)
• Drug testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (Aya requirement)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (required during flu season)
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination: Monovalent vaccine dose after 9/12/2023 or declination form accepted

Facility-Specific Requirements (Must be completed prior to or shortly after start)

• Photo for badge: Clear, recent, color headshot with neutral background
• Completion of mandatory online modules and trainings including:

  • HIPAA Privacy and Information Security Training
  • OSHA Annual Education Training
  • C-ICARE Training Module and Post Test
  • Code of Conduct Module and Post Test
  • Radiation Hazard Awareness Training
  • Age Specific Training
  • Safe Patient Handling and Training
  • "We Listen We Care" Module
• Signed confidentiality agreement
• Access request forms and other facility onboarding paperwork due within 72 hours of signing
• Facility-specific abuse reporting acknowledgments (Elder, Child, Domestic)

Additional Notes

• Must be able to respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes
• Must be willing to work at least 2 weekend calls
• Must be able to float to similar units as needed
• First-time travel nurses are not accepted for this assignment

This position is ideal for experienced GI RNs with strong endoscopy and recovery skills seeking a travel contract in California.
