Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Description

• Work primarily in Orthopedic Diagnostics with medical overflow patients.
• Float within scope of practice as needed, including possible float to a sister facility approximately 25 minutes away.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6.
• Full contract length commitment required.
• Orientation dates: 6/8 and 6/22.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Current driver’s license or state ID showing address; include name change documentation if applicable.
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year history including Pima County, AZ.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start.
• State license verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by physician, NP, or PA.
• Fit testing for N95 mask within 1 year of start (PAPR allowed onsite).
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within past 10 years (declinations allowed except for certain pediatric and maternity units).
  • Negative TB test (QuantiFERON Gold, Tspot, or PPD) within 3 months of start; chest x-ray if positive TB test.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: proof of 2 vaccines or positive IgG titers; no declinations allowed.
  • Hepatitis B: proof of 3 vaccines or positive titer; declinations allowed with signed form.
  • Varicella: proof of 2 vaccines or positive IgG titer; no declinations allowed.
• Drug testing: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days of start, must be started within 72 hours of booking.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30) or approved medical/religious exemption with facility-specific form.
• Employment application with complete work history for last 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained.
• Two professional references from employment within last 3 years, including one supervisory reference.
• Skills checklist updated annually.
• Facility-specific job description and orientation sign-off required.
• Acknowledgment of pass/fail testing for certain units.
• Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment.

• No local candidates accepted.
• Do not submit to multiple positions simultaneously.
• Floating may be required within the facility or to a nearby sister facility.
• Full contract length commitment is mandatory.
