Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Home Health Nursing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (guaranteed 20 hours weekly with a 40-hour schedule)
- Average Patient Load: 5-7 patients per day
- Case Types: Geriatric patients
- Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the office/hub
- Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
- Device Provided: iPad
- Cell Phone Use: Not allowed for work purposes
- Mileage Reimbursement: Yes, at IRS standard rate
- On-call: Yes (details to be discussed during interview)
- Flexibility: Travelers must be flexible with territory assignments
- Locals accepted at travel rate
- First-time travel nurses NOT accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) documentation
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID
- Background Check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled; updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
- National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration (as applicable)
- Primary source verification of state license prior to start and upon expiration
- NURSYS verification prior to start (for RN license)
- Signed Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (updated annually)
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Competency Exam as applicable to specialty
- Photo for badge (passport-style, white background) required within 72 hours of signing
- Copy of personal or auto insurance
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
- Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year or chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD
- Annual TB questionnaire if applicable
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series, positive titer, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox)
- 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant acceptable) to meet agency standards
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire
- Skills checklist required

- This position requires flexibility in travel territory within a 60-mile radius.
