Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse

Location: Westlake Village, California

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Oncology, Chemotherapy Certified)
• Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
• Workweek: 40 hours
• Setting: Outpatient oncology care
• Charting System: Epic
• Uniform: Dark blue scrubs
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet clinic needs
• Call: Not required
• Weekend Work: No weekend requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Chemotherapy certification
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Harassment Prevention Training Certificate

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Current and valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • 7-year National Criminal History Search (including county searches)
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • FACIS Level 3 (includes OFAC)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG searches (annual requirement)
• Education verification (diploma or official transcripts) confirming BSN or higher
• NURSYS license verification within 30 days of start
• Facility-specific onboarding documents including:

  • HIPAA training and acknowledgment
  • Abuse reporting acknowledgments (Elder, Child, Domestic)
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Access request forms (not required for RNs)
  • Photo for badge (high-quality, recent, color headshot)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (updated annually)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray if indicated)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination accepted if signed within past year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or completed vaccine series)
  • Varicella (positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or signed declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccine dose received after 9/12/2023 or signed declination
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (Aya requirement)
• Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency as applicable

Additional Requirements

• References: Two required, supervisor level or above; one must be within the last year and include dates of affiliation
• Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Work history verification for last 5 years with gap explanations
• Skills checklist required
