Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job in Columbus, Ohio

Job Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (8.5 hours with 30-minute lunch)
Hours per Week: 40 hours (10-hour shifts during holiday weeks to maintain 40 hours)
Weekends: No weekends required
On-Call: No on-call duties
Dress Code: Scrubs (black pants, any top)

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in Ohio
Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT certification
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Background and Compliance Requirements

7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting results (Ohio BCI & FBI fingerprinting required under code 3701.881)
Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
Education accreditation verification for relevant programs
Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
Employment application and skills checklist required
2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership role)

Health and Safety Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 1 year or chest x-ray if positive
Tdap vaccination (adult dose after age 11/12) required; exemptions not allowed for those working with infants or pregnant patients
MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters if low titer
Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required unless medically exempted
Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series or signed declination
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declining
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene)
COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended; proof of primary vaccination collected if available

Competency and Training Requirements

Unit-specific competency exam required prior to start
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required for all RN/LVN candidates (not applicable here but noted)
