Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job - Napa, California
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Napa, California
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (start time varies between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM based on patient volume)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Rotated weekends, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Patient Load: 2 rooms
- Facility Type: Acute Care Facility
- Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual
- Start Date: ASAP
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
Licensure & Background Requirements
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- E-Verify attestation required
- Education verification required (nursing degree or related for clinical roles)
- State-specific background checks as applicable
- Drug screen: 9-panel within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- NURSYS verification required for RN licenses
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required annually; onsite testing available if needed
- Immunizations/vaccinations or documented immunity required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months; updated annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
- Hepatitis B: vaccination series or signed declination; titers accepted
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Skills checklist required annually for applicable units
- Radiation badge issued by facility (not candidate responsibility)
Notes
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
- No restrictions on return-to-office (RTO) beyond 7 days
- Work hours total 40 hours per week
- Weekend shifts are rotated and required only on weekends
