Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Prince Frederick, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Hours per week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 3-4 patients
• Floating: Required to float between like units (not to sister facilities)
• Weekend work: Required
• On-call: Not required
• Block schedule: Not accommodated
• Local candidates accepted within the same radius
• Pending state license accepted
• Return to office restrictions: 1 request

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Travelers must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Residency declaration form required if working on a compact license
• Performance evaluations requested if previously worked with the facility over 1 year
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption with mask-wearing during flu season
• Respiratory safety clearance required for onsite fit testing
• Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure not applicable for Labor and Delivery

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• No accommodation for block scheduling
• Floating is required only within like units, not sister facilities

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs who meet certification and licensure requirements and are comfortable with floating and weekend shifts.
