Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every 3rd weekend required
Call: No call required
Hours per week: 36

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric experience to work night shifts. This position accepts first-time travel therapists but requires that travelers live at least 50 miles away from the facility (no local candidates accepted).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Minnesota
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Pediatric patients

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start date, including:

  • 7-year search
  • Social Security trace
  • County and sex offender checks
  • Nationwide and international searches if applicable
• GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
• Primary source verification of education and licensure required
• Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required prior to start (cannot start with fingerprints pending unless approved “more time needed” letter is provided)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 1 year of start date (instant acceptable)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccination (no religious declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) positive titer or 2 vaccines (time sensitive)
  • Varicella positive titer or 2 vaccines (time sensitive)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references from recent employers within the last 2 years
• Skills checklist required prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
• Candidate must complete Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
• Photo for badge required: grey background, no selfies, JPG format with name
• Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
• Candidates must return badges to manager on last day of assignment

Notes

• Travelers must be willing to travel and live at least 50 miles from the facility
• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Facility uses Epic for charting
• Fit mask testing required (N95 options: Halyard Fluid Shield or 3M 1860)
• Dress code: Dove Gray scrubs for RRTs
