Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
13-week assignment
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
36 hours per week

Unit Overview

ICU coverage includes stroke/neuro, cardiac, cath lab/open heart, trauma, and general ICU patients
Nurses must be able to float between multiple ICU areas and telemetry

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Stroke experience
Cardiac experience
Trauma experience
Telemetry experience

Considerations

First-time travelers will be considered
Only 2 days of requested time off are approved

Pros

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.

Cons

DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
