Position: NICU Registered Nurse
Location: Apple Valley, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:00 - 6:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

NICU Level III with approximately 190 births per month
Weekend shifts scheduled every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
No floating between units required
No on-call required
Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Minimum 1 year of NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Scheduling & Work Conditions

Weekend shifts every other weekend, may exceed based on unit needs
No block scheduling accommodations
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application and approved based on facility needs

Additional Requirements

Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
Completion of annual regulatory and facility-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
Must comply with float policy acknowledgment (may be required to float to nearby facilities)
Epic training modules required prior to or shortly after start date

Local radius for travel assignments is 50 miles
No prior travel experience required for this position
