Shift Details

• Night shift, 5 days per week
• Hours: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
• No on-call shifts
• Weekend availability required

Required Qualifications

• Sterile Processing Technician certification with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Sterile Processing Technician experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
• Must be available to work weekends

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:

  • Social Security trace with all aliases
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • Nationwide sex offender search
  • Education verification (highest level achieved; not required if high school)
  • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per California law)
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
• Employment verification for up to 7 years required; gaps over 30 days must be explained
• Professional references required (2 for clinical/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care)

Certifications and Exams

• Sterile Processing Technician certification

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must indicate cleared for work)
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start; must be renewed annually (exceptions apply)
• TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start; renewed annually
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT within 90 days) or 2-step PPD required; annual renewal required
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
