Schedule

• Night shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• May include occasional weekend coverage and floating

Work Hours

• 40 hours per week guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in California
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with at least 1 year of experience within the last year

Certifications

• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency contact form prior to start
• Background checks including 7-year search, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (updated annually)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific guidelines for past positives)
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccine fully vaccinated (per California state policy)
• COVID-19 booster required if eligible (per California state policy)
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable by profession
• State license primary source verification

References

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
• 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles
• Not required for non-clinical roles
• References must be within 3 years of start date

This position offers a guaranteed 40-hour workweek on night shifts with flexibility for occasional weekends and floating duties. It is ideal for COTAs with LTC or LTAC experience, though new graduates are welcome to apply. Compliance with state licensure, certifications, immunizations, and background checks is mandatory.
