OT Home Health - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day)
• Productivity expectation: 30 points per week
• Patient population: Geriatric patients
• Call requirement: Possible on-call sign-up if needed
• Weekend work: Generally not required but may be requested occasionally
• Local candidates are acceptable

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Experience with OASIS documentation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense approved)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during client service hours
• Background check: 7-year criminal history including SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender, motor vehicle, and FACIS Level 3
• E-Verify or attestation proof required
• Auto insurance documentation required
• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
• N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year and updated annually (can be done onsite)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually (2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot accepted)
• Immunizations or titers required:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (instant acceptable)
• Seasonal influenza vaccination or documented declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31) or facility exemption
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption with facility-specific form

Additional Requirements

• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel allied positions
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
• State license primary source verification

Notes

• This is a travel/contract role with a 14-week duration.
• Candidates may be asked to participate in on-call rotations if needed.
• The role involves working primarily with geriatric patients in a home health setting.
