Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position involves day and evening shift rotation with options for:
- Combination of 2 eight-hour and 2 twelve-hour shifts
- Five eight-hour shifts
- Shift times:
- 06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30 (8-hour shifts)
- 06:30-18:30 / 10:30-22:30 (12-hour shifts)
- Day and evening shift rotation is required
- Call requirements: 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule
- Patient population includes adult cardiac surgery, vascular, and thoracic complex/high acuity patients, including:
- Cardiac surgeries: CABG, MVR, AVR, ECMO, Heart Transplant, LVAD/RVAD, Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices, MAZE procedure
- Thoracic procedures: VATS Wedge Resection, Lobectomy, Esophagectomy, Bronchoscopy, Lung Transplant, Hiatal Hernia Repair
- Vascular procedures: AAA, EVAR, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV Fistulas, Femoral bypasses, Vein stripping/ablation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience working with adult patients
- Scrub experience rated 3 or 4
Additional Information
- Flexible scheduling and time-off requests accommodated by management
- Call shifts are limited to a maximum of 12 hours, with weekend call structured to preserve most of the weekend
- Positive team environment and supportive management reported by previous travelers
- Orientation includes pass/fail EKG competency testing; study materials provided prior to start
- Required to complete facility-specific orientation paperwork within 3 weeks of start to avoid assignment disruption
- Must submit 2 recent professional references from managers or supervisors (charge RN references not accepted)
