Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Hutchinson, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Specialty: Home Health Nursing
• Average Patients per Day: 5-7
• Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours weekly, with a 40-hour schedule
• Types of Cases: Geriatric, end-of-life care
• Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the office/hub
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• On-call: Yes (details to be discussed during interview)
• Equipment Provided: iPad
• Mileage Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Cell phone use: Not provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with OASIS documentation
• Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Background checks including SSN trace, nationwide, sex offender, MVR, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening (9-panel) within last 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Photo for badge within 72 hours of signing
• Auto insurance copy required

• Locals are accepted and paid at travel rates
• Traveler must be flexible with territory assignments
• No cell phone provided; iPad is provided for work use

This position is ideal for experienced home health RNs with prior travel contract experience who are comfortable managing geriatric and end-of-life care patients in a home health setting.
