Job Description

• Must be licensed as a School Social Worker by the Colorado Department of Education as a Special Service Provider (SSP) with a School Social Work Endorsement.
• License must be in-hand to be considered for interview.
• At least 1 year of experience in a school social work position required.
• Work is in-person only.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Colorado School Social Worker license (Special Service Provider with School Social Work Endorsement).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in school social work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Completion of mandatory reporter training specific to Colorado educational services.
• Compliance with Colorado-specific background checks including:

  • Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
  • Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and FBI fingerprint results.
  • Colorado CAPS Release Authorization form completed prior to background check.
• Completion of Colorado-specific fingerprinting requirements (handled by the agency).
• Completion of FERPA training and annual updates.

Additional Requirements

• Must provide unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID).
• Required to complete various employment and accounting documents (e.g., W4, I9, direct deposit authorization).
• Must comply with Colorado state teaching credential requirements related to the SSP license.
• Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) may be required if SSP license is not held; agency/client may assist with this process.
• Internet Usage Agreement form required for the facility.

Health and Safety

• Physical exam, TB testing, immunizations (measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella), and drug testing are not required unless specifically requested by the client or state.
• Flu vaccination is not required unless requested by the client.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
