Job Description
- Provide assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in a busy outpatient Infusion Center.
- Deliver direct patient care, patient/family education, and manage transitions of care.
- Experienced in administration of oncology and non-oncology treatments.
- Provide holistic, individualized care considering psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws to promote optimal patient experience.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (4x10)
- Weekend Requirement: 4-8 weekend shifts per schedule month and holidays as needed.
- No schedule requests will be granted for holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum of 1 year of infusion nursing experience, including infusion experience within the last year
- Oncology infusion experience
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) / ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- National Tech Certification Verification
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
