Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Operating Room position in a small critical access hospital. The role requires flexibility to float between various perioperative areas including Circulate, PACU, Pre/Post Op.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:30)
• Possible flexibility to 4 days of 10-hour shifts depending on OR schedule
• Weekend requirement: Approximately 1 weekend every 3 weeks (Friday-Sunday)
• Call requirement: About 10 call shifts per month (in pairs of 2), with a minimum 1-hour callback
• Floating between units required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
• Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Pre-Op
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with endoscopic procedures
• Experience in gynecology
• Experience in podiatry
• Pediatric ENT experience
• Pediatric endoscopic experience
• Experience with conscious sedation monitoring

Additional Information

• Scrub attire required
• Unit scrub color: Blue
• Case volume: Approximately 100 cases per month, low acuity
• C-Sections performed about 1-2 times per month
• Locals allowed at same rate
• No radius restriction
• First-time travelers accepted
• EMR system: Meditech
• Facility housing offered at a reduced rate

Required Pre-Employment & Ongoing Compliance

• Background checks including 7-year work/living history, sex offender search, and quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Verification of Missouri state license or compact license with proof of residency if applicable
• Competency exam in specialty area, updated annually
• Physical exam signed by MD, PA, or NP
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire updated annually
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Drug screening: 11-panel within 30 days of start, with MRO process
• Seasonal flu vaccination or mask requirement during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required prior to start
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Two professional references required, one within 12 months of assignment start
• Work history verification: 2 years relevant experience within last 3 years
