Location: Morganton, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Night shift position on a Labor & Delivery unit with:
- 16 LDRP rooms
- C-section Suite and PACU on L&D unit
- 4 Bed Special Care Nursery
Requires experience in Labor & Delivery and mother/baby care.
Closed specialty unit: Nurses focus exclusively on Family Center patients; no floating to other units.
Growing support staff including preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation consultant.
Commitment to continuous improvement and best practices in maternal and infant care, including involvement in state-wide process improvement projects and innovative programs (e.g., Eat, Sleep, Console program, validated prenatal screening tools, mental health expansion, Narcan education, and upcoming initiatives on late preterm infant care and sepsis in obstetrical care).

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients and mother/baby care.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
