Hospice Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Aldie, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Hospice Nursing
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Average Patient Load: 5-7 patients per day (geriatric, end-of-life care)
Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the office; flexibility with territory expected
Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; jeans are not allowed
Documentation and communication must be timely
iPad provided for work; cell phone use is not allowed
Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
Local candidates accepted at travel rate

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
Minimum 1 year of recent Hospice Palliative Care RN experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background and Compliance Requirements

7-year background check including SS trace, county, nationwide criminal databases, sex offender registry, and Virginia State Police background check
E-Verify and other federal exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) checks required within 30 days of start
Various facility-specific compliance documents must be completed prior to start, including confidentiality, conflict of interest, immunization statements, sexual abuse policy, code of conduct, and sworn statements for Virginia placements
Government-issued photo ID required
I9 or attestation required
Fingerprinting requirements apply for Florida candidates only (not applicable here)
