Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in Cardiac Cath Lab performing Cardiac Cath, EP, and Vascular procedures
  • Shift: 4x10 schedule
    • Wednesdays: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Other days: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Required Qualifications

  • License: Massachusetts Radiology License specific to Radiology discipline
  • Certification: ARRT Radiology credentials (RCIS not accepted)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Important Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
  • 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
  • Education Verification of highest completed education (transcript acceptable if verification unavailable)
  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
  • Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
  • Required Immunizations or Declinations (some declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU):
    • COVID-19 (most recent vaccination or declination)
    • Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • Hepatitis B
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
    • Varicella
    • TB testing and questionnaire (including chest x-ray if positive)
  • ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only) may be required depending on unit specifics
  • Medication and Telemetry competency exams for applicable roles

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must pass required medication and telemetry exams with a minimum score of 80% on the first day of orientation
  • Background checks include SSN trace, county and national criminal searches, and other federal exclusions
  • References: 2 references within 3 years of start date required
  • Employment application must cover 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
