Job Details

• Start Dates: February 9, February 23
• Experience Required: Minimum 3 years recent experience in LVN/LPN specialty (first-timers accepted only if 3+ years recent experience)
• IV Certification: Firm requirement
• Nursing Ratio: Approximately 1:7 (team nursing; support from PCC, RN, etc.)
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: As needed (weekend block schedule may be considered, but no block schedule otherwise)
• Locals: Not accepted (strict 100-mile radius rule)
• Licensing: Must be fully compliant with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines; pending licenses not accepted
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Certifications

• IV Certification (mandatory)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for certain units (check if applicable)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • Statewide, county, federal searches
  • Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
  • Sex offender search
  • Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry (for TN facilities)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated regularly

• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year, attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (proof of vaccination or positive titer required; booster series required for low titers)
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
  • Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year (if applicable)

• Licenses:

  • Valid Tennessee LVN/LPN license or multistate license under NLC
  • Must be in compliance at time of submission

• Photo for Badge:

  • Recent (within 6 months), passport-style photo with strict guidelines

• References: Two recent professional references required
• Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
• Internal Evaluation: Required if employed with agency for 1 year or more
• Dress Code:

  • Navy blue scrubs for RNs, Caribbean blue for RRTs, steel gray for Surgical and OB Techs
  • No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
  • Business casual with lab coat for RN Case Managers
• Block Scheduling: Not generally accommodated except possible weekend block
• Travelers: Do not submit to multiple job IDs/facilities simultaneously
