Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Escondido, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, various shift times
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years of direct related experience required (use 2 years as the requirement)
  • No explicit prior travel experience required

Certifications Required

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist CRT(R)
  • ACLS (AHA) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS (AHA) - Basic Life Support

Key Job Details

  • Must be able to provide call coverage
  • Support for vascular cases in the OR
  • Work at both hospital campuses to cover IR needs

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • I9 verification
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID with address
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal search, national criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP confirming good health and free of communicable diseases
  • Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start
  • Badge photo with white background (no selfies) required prior to start
  • Flu vaccination or declination form required prior to start
  • TB testing (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year and updated annually
  • Various immunizations or titers required or declination accepted: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start (annual renewal for direct hires)
  • Online orientation and competency exams required
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • References: 2 required within 3 years from manager, supervisor, or charge RN

Additional Notes

  • Must carry copies of ACLS and BLS certifications at all times
  • Pass/fail arrhythmia exam and medication competency exams required based on unit assignment
  • HIPAA acknowledgment and orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training not required for this position
  • COVID vaccination preferred but not required; declination form accepted if unvaccinated

This position is ideal for Radiologic Technologists with experience in interventional radiology and vascular support who are comfortable with travel assignments and flexible scheduling.
