Location: Torrance, California
Start Dates: November 18, 2025, and December 2, 2025 (starts accepted)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details

- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

- Return to Office Restrictions: 10 days max

Experience Requirements
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years of acute inpatient experience (this is the highest required)
- Additional Required Experience:
- ER Department Case Management experience
- Recent discharge planning experience
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all travelers
- Additional Certifications to Review (based on unit):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) for Hematology/Oncology & Infusion Center RNs
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or EDAP preferred for ER RNs
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) for Labor & Delivery RNs
- NIH Stroke Certification for certain units (ER, PCU, ICU, Tele)
- Harassment Prevention Training Certificate: Required for all candidates
Health & Safety Requirements
- Flu Vaccine: Mandatory, no declinations accepted
- COVID-19: Vaccine or facility-specific declination form required
- Fit Mask Test: Required within one year of start for all onsite candidates (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations / Titers Required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (with additional requirements if history of positive TB)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Drug Testing: Required within 1 year of start and updated annually (specific panels listed)
Documentation & Compliance
- References: Two supervisor/manager references required within one year of start (one from current or most recent employer, one from second most recent). One reference can be pending at start but must be on file within a week.
- Employment Application: Resume or application covering all cities and states lived/worked in past 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained
- Background Checks: Standard background check within one year of start, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, and education verification
- State-Specific Checks: California Medi-Cal Search required within 30 days of start and monthly thereafter
- Education Verification: Required for highest degree unless high school is highest level
- Physical Exam: Not required by facility but recommended per Aya standard
- Other Facility-Specific Documents: Includes safety and disaster preparedness quiz, orientation modules, timekeeping acknowledgment, conflict of interest policy, standards of behavior, attendance policy, confidentiality agreement, meal break policy, fingernail hygiene policy, and others to be reviewed and signed prior to start
Additional Notes
- Candidates must have a flu vaccine by November 1, 2025, with no exemptions accepted after October 24, 2025
- Medical or religious exemptions require facility-specific forms and approval
- Candidates must review and sign multiple facility-specific policies and complete required quizzes before starting
- Proof of auto insurance required for Home Health and Hospice workers
