Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Metairie, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
• Epic Experience: Required
• Workload: 16-20 cases per day
• Call Requirement: 1 day per week
• Weekend Requirement: 4-6 weekend shifts
• Float Requirement: May float to Cath Lab

Certifications Required

• ARRT (R)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Louisiana State License (temporary LSRT accepted; issued in 3-5 days with proof of ARRT)

Additional Information

• Facility requires coverage through Mardi Gras (minimize time off requests from 2/13 - 2/22)
• May be required to float to Cath Lab

Compliance & Documentation

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Various competency exams required annually (Medication Test, Dysrhythmia/EKG, Core Parts I-III)
• Physical exam within 12 months (not required by facility but required by placement agency)
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent within 3 months or appropriate history)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer, boosters if low titer
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer, boosters if low titer
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with exemptions accepted
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (specific panels depending on hire date)

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

Summary

This is a travel/contract position for a Radiology/Cardiology professional with at least 2 years of experience and Epic system knowledge. The role involves a moderate case load, call and weekend shifts, and potential floating to the Cath Lab. Multiple certifications and compliance documents are required, including ARRT, BLS, and state licensure. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
