Job Description

Perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures to produce quality diagnostic images.
Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures.
Provide competent patient assessment, monitoring, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
May perform specific procedures and orient new staff to the department.

AART R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
CRT M (Certified Radiologic Technologist - Mammography)

Background and Screening Requirements

7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening.
EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List searches as applicable.
Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
Employment history verification covering 7 years with no gaps over 30 days without explanation.
Professional references required (2 for clinical/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care).

Health and Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear candidate for work).
Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (with accommodations for failed tests).
Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (annual renewal required)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination with mask requirement
Drug testing as noted above.
Color blind exam (in-person) if applicable.
Respiratory safety clearance prior to start, renewed annually.
