Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Job Description

Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2, occasionally 1:3
Able to float within skillset

Requirements

License: New York RN license required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (CRN experience preferred)
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for ICU staff)
Skills: Epic electronic health record system experience required
Able to meet competency exams including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, and others as applicable
Must complete harassment prevention training (New York specific)

Health & Compliance Documents

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific mask types required)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific documentation requirements)
Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
Pneumonia vaccination or declination required

Additional Requirements

Background checks including 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, education verification
Professional references:
- 2 references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
- 1 reference for per diem non-acute care roles
Completion of facility-specific onboarding modules and documents prior to first shift
Photo for badge (professional headshot)
Completion of competency exams with minimum passing scores

Notes

Locals within 75 miles radius may be accepted
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
