Overview
- Travel/Contract Registered Nurse role in Baltimore, Maryland
- General Operating Room position
- Day shift: 5x8s, 11:00-19:30
- 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- 1 on-call shift per week and 2 eight-hour weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
- First-timers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- Block scheduling not accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Experience with laparoscopic procedures
- Experience with robotic surgery
- Experience with electrosurgical units
- Experience with fiber-optic equipment
- Experience with Steris equipment
- Experience with emergency OR response
- Experience with malignant hyperthermia
- Experience with latex allergy precautions
- Experience with massive transfusion protocol (MTP)
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching hospital experience
- Level I trauma experience
- ACLS
- NIH
- PALS
Unit Details
- General Operating Room
- Approximately 40 cases per day
- Care provided to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- OR patient ratio: 1:1
- All clinicians within the system float as needed within their scope
