Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in the Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool
• Traveler will float from MS units to IMC units
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:30–7:00
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Must be comfortable with 1:4–1:6 ratios
• First-time travelers: No
• Locals: No

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Intermediate Care (2 years of experience)
• Intermediate Care experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or United States Department of Defense
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or United States Department of Defense
• NIHSS
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with Epic

Patient Acuity / Clinical Scope

• May care for patients with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma patients

Additional Compliance / Onboarding

• Driver’s license or state ID with proof of state residency
• E-Verify or attestation
• 7-year criminal background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM
• HHS/OIG
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement
• NURSYS verification as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test within 1 year of start
• Tdap within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Drug Testing documentation
• Skills checklist as applicable
• Performance evaluation if previously worked with the agency for over 1 year
