Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of experience in ED - Emergency Department
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Current resume including the last 7 years of employment
• 2 references
• Drivers License/State ID
• Background check
• Work history verification for 7 years of employment
• Skills checklist for the traveler’s unit and any units they may float to
• Employment application
• Missing information tracking form
• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit mask within 1 year of start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 2 business days of signing contract
• Negative TB or chest X-ray within 2 business days of signing contract
• Rubeola (Measles) documentation within 2 business days of signing contract
• Mumps documentation within 2 business days of signing contract
• Rubella documentation within 2 business days of signing contract
• Hepatitis B documentation within 2 business days of signing contract
• Varicella documentation within 2 business days of signing contract
• Drug testing: negative 9-panel within 30 days of start
• Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation for 2026–27
• Orientation modules before clearance/start
• Illinois DPH HCWR fingerprint results if the position does not require an IL state license
