CVICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 18 weeks
- Patient ratio: 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- CVICU experience within the last year
- 2 years of CVICU experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles
- Cannot live within 100 miles of the facility
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire
- Complete application with at least 3 years of work history
- 3 years of previous work experience must be verified
Preferred Experience
- CVICU experience preferred
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Weekend coverage as needed
- On-call not required
- Floating may include other ICUs, PCU floors, ED for admitted patients, and PACU for admitted patients
- Block scheduling not guaranteed
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval

- 554 staffed beds

Compliance and Health Requirements
- COVID vaccine not required, but vaccine status or declination must be uploaded
- Flu documentation required year-round before start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Fit testing required within 1 year of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
- Hepatitis B documentation required
- TB questionnaire required annually
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation
- Background check required
- Education verification required
