CT Tech

Job Overview

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Friday–Sunday, 3x12 hours
• Hours per week: 36
• Schedule details: Friday at the main campus in Orangeburg; Saturday and Sunday at BBMP
• On-call: Required, with rotation among staff at BBMP only
• First-timers: Accepted
• Local candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis if within 60 miles

Role Summary

• Performs CT scans and radiographic exams
• Produces diagnostic radiographs and computerized tomographic scans
• Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) (CT) or SCRQSA (R) (CT)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology
• One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography
• Radiation badge required

• Proof of 2 clinical references

• Skills checklist for the applicable unit
• Annual background check
• Education verification required
• Annual physical exam
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• TB testing or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• COVID vaccination documentation preferred; declination accepted if not vaccinated
• Respirator clearance required for patient-facing travelers
• Color blind testing before start
• Competency exam required
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
• South Carolina state exclusion list required
• Work history verification for the last 3 clinical employers

• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season
