Medical Surgical RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (5 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Trauma experience
• Must pass a Relias EKG exam
• Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required
• Pending license accepted
• Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend required
• On-call not required
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week

Unit / Patient Population

• Patients come from the ED, OR, or ICU
• Geriatric trauma patients age 55+
• Trauma patients include abuse/violence victims, MVA/MVC, and falls
• Acute care surgery cases include appendicitis, gallbladders, hernia repairs, fistulas, wounds, burns, and TBI

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Missed shifts should be made up as soon as possible if able
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Parking may require a fee depending on shift and parking option
