Job Opportunity: Surgical Tech (Operating Room)

Job Overview

• Assist with surgical procedures within the scope of law as part of the nursing team.
• Provide sub-acute care or perform routine activities in the Operating Room.
• Ability to scrub multiple service lines, primarily orthopedic and neuro surgeries (including total joints and minimally invasive spine procedures like ACDF and posterior lumbar).
• Hospital provides laundered OR scrubs.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Return to Office (RTO): No more than 3 days.
• On-call requirement: 24-hour call schedule including Friday 8 PM to Saturday 7 AM, Sunday 7 AM to 7 PM, or one Saturday 7 AM to 7 AM.

Required Certifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CST in a hospital setting.

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, in-person classes (typically Tuesday-Thursday), and unit-based orientation.
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted. Badge required for clock-ins.

Additional Requirements

• Background check, drug screen, employment and educational verification, immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella), physical exam, and various screenings and attestations are required prior to employment.

This position is ideal for experienced Surgical Technologists looking to work in a dynamic OR environment with orthopedic and neuro specialties on a 13-week contract.
