Schedule

8-week assignment
3x12 night shifts
Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Float (1 year of experience)
Float experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education

Job Summary

Provides nursing care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Delivers age-specific and culturally based care
Works within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and ANA code of ethics

Key Responsibilities

Completes holistic patient assessments
Communicates abnormal findings and changes in condition to the physician and charge RN
Coordinates and revises multidisciplinary plans of care with patients and families
Uses SBAR and handoff processes to communicate care plans
Initiates discharge planning on admission
Provides evidence-based nursing care, patient/family education, and appropriate delegation
Responds to emergency situations
Uses protective measures to prevent contamination, disease transmission, and injury
