Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. You will focus on quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, and maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN will supervise licensed and non-licensed staff, apply evidence-based practice, and participate in education and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
- Develop, prioritize, implement, and revise patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during the stay and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor and preceptor.
- Promote teamwork and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory standards.
- Engage in the Practice Governance model.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.
- Valid RN license for the state of Kentucky.
