Job Description
- Assess, implement, and evaluate care needed by assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician.
- Utilize nursing principles, theories, and current methods and techniques of nursing practice.
- Collaborate with patients, families, professional peers, and healthcare team members to individualize patient care.
- Direct nursing support staff in providing patient care according to nursing practice standards and departmental policies.
- May require professional education, training, or additional certifications specific to the specialty area.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in Med Surg / Telemetry specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
