Sonographer - Pediatrics

Overview

• Temp assignment in Fairfax, Virginia
• 25 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Day shift: 8a–5p

Required Qualifications

• Pediatric Echocardiography (1 year of experience)
• Pediatric Echocardiography experience within the last year
• BLS
• ARDMS
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience with ECMO procedure to assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
• Extensive understanding of congenital and non-congenital heart disease
• Fetal Echocardiography experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography
• Fetal echo experience
• Adult echo experience

Clinical Setting / Patient Population

• Covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU
• Performs echocardiographic studies across fetal congenital cases 22+ weeks, pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography

Responsibilities

• Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
• Recognize and triage emergent situations
• Provide written communication to cardiologists
• Maintain equipment
• Log and bill procedures

Schedule / Work Conditions

• No weekends
• No floating
• No on-call
• Closed on major holidays

Orientation / Equipment / Dress

• Floor orientation: 1–2 weeks
• Equipment includes Phillips
• Scrubs: Caribbean Blue
