Acute Care Registered Nurse

Location

  • Americus, Georgia

Contract Length

  • 17 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holidays required

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN role
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital med-surg units
  • Must live at least 75 miles from the facility based on the address on the traveler’s driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS

Unit Details

  • Acute care unit with 36 beds
  • RN/LPN ratio: 6:1
  • CNA ratio: 12:1
  • Charge nurse present
  • Nurse aides present
  • Telemetry used
  • Hospitalist in house 24/7
  • RT available 24/7
  • Occasional floating
  • 3-shift floor orientation

Patient Population

  • CHF
  • COPD
  • ESRD
  • Pneumonia
  • Renal failure
  • Sickle cell crisis
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Bariatric surgery
  • Altered mental status
  • Sepsis

Work Attire

  • White tops
  • Hunter green pants
