Location: Osage Beach, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Thursday - Saturday, Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours total)
Schedule: 3-12 hour shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights

Job Description

Seeking a CT Technologist with multi-modality skills in CT and X-ray to join a hospital emergency department team. The role involves operating CT equipment, performing quality control, applying radiation protection principles, preparing patients, selecting scan protocols, positioning patients, administering contrast materials, and assisting in X-ray as needed. The position requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and accessories
• Perform tube warm-ups and daily quality control
• Apply ALARA radiation safety principles
• Prepare and instruct patients to minimize anxiety
• Select appropriate scan protocols
• Position and immobilize patients as needed
• Transport patients within the department
• Follow sterilization and infection control procedures
• Handle hazardous materials safely
• Clean and restock equipment
• Administer contrast materials
• Take patient history prior to exams
• Train and supervise new staff as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, push, and pull without restrictions

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) preferred; ARRT Radiography (R) with adequate CT experience may be considered
• Minimum 2 years of experience with CT and X-ray modalities
• Experience with Siemens, Canon, or Toshiba CT and X-ray equipment preferred
• Experience with trauma levels 1, 2, and 3 preferred
• Experience with Meditech system, C-arm, and CT perfusion studies preferred
• Ability to assist in X-ray as needed
• No state-specific CT license required in Missouri

• No call required
• Scrub color: black pants and pewter top (scrubs not provided)
• Typical scan volume: 20-40 scans per shift
• Must be able to transport self throughout the hospital
• Housing assistance recommended to arrange promptly
